I currently own a 1.6lt MkII escort '78 model and want ot swap it over for a 2.0lt pinto and have found a dona car that is a 2.0lt mkII ghia but it is auto
so i just wanted to know can i swap the engine over and keep the current manuel thats already behind the 1.6 or do i need to source a 2.0ltr man gearbox as well? thx David |

YOU CAN KEEP THE oopps caps lock on 1600 4 speed but you will have to space the cluch fork out the 2ltr's have a little block between the fork and bellhousing they about 10mm i think i'll have a look in the shed might have a spare

does any1 know any places in aussie in birssie if posible to buy escort motor parts for a 2.0lt pinto. I'm after a set of pistons,rings,hardened seats, possibly new valves, etc
does any1 know of any aussie vendors that can get that stuff or do i have to import the stuff and if importing any1 know any good overseas shops? ta David |

In perth we got RACE TUNE and ERR they both import stuff from UK ill have a look for the number i tow there cars but its late and carnt be bothered going out to the truck
