Hey all, i have a genuine FG GT front bar in Brisbane I need to move down here so i can actually fit the thing to my ute (i have another raw one here but the price was right on the second one). I have the Ford box it can be sent in but none of the ORIGINAL internal packaging for a bar, but enough stuff that it can be packed in....but what can i do to protect the paint from scratching in transit? Any hints?

Yeah, had a local guy inspect for me etc. It'll go on a small pallet but beyond that I have no plan yet.
I've been so on again off again doing this bar at all i just want it either over with or i'll just flog the lot...my patience levels have been tested collecting all the bits

Maybe go to Bunnings and buy some thin long planks of timber to nail up up a basic support frame for it, with bubble wrap around where it touches the frame. Then put thin MDF board all around the frame.

I would wrap in buble wrap then stuff sides/top/bottom with foam, hit up a panel beater, good guys, harvey norman, local fruit shop etc for some throw away foam and cut to suit.
as above crush danger so may want to put some sort of wooden frame to to protect |
