Smile bluetooth autoplay

Hi,

When I start my car (MB Mondeo XR5) the audio is set to bluetooth and my phone is connected and it displays which artist is currently playing... but it does not play. I have to select radio then go back to bluetooth, then it will start straight away.

Is there a setting for it to automatically start instead? I can't see it.

I find the same thing, but also had the same problem with my Alfa 147 GTA...Keen to see if anyone has a resolution for the issue!

what phone?

I find with android KK or LP you need the player to be running in the background (tombstoned like) so whilst it's not playing music it's still running. That works for me everytime. However if I were to close the music app, I lose the behaviour so I sometimes have to start the music player and play a song. I don't use google music app anymore but it's the same with another music player app.

It's the same if the missus connects her phone I have to toggle out of bt and back in (so four presses on the button) to get mine to behave again. Worse still if she has bt left on, it seems it doesn't want to connect back to android. Hers is a windows phone, and hers gets her sms messages read out aloud where mine doesn't.

With my symbian N8 or N808 once I finally get the phone connected it seems much the same in that I just need the music player on and it's good to go.

thank god voic commands and phone calls work on all devices as expected, cause if they didn't I'd be ripping the stereo out and fitting an aftermarket one.
