Default Which car would you choose?

Hey,
since ive basically sold my e-series(to a mate for 9 and a half)
Ive been toying with the idea of a mild "supercar"
I have around 25 grand to spend.
Was looking at either a 1986 porsche 928S 5 ltr 32 valve dohc,
a 1986 c4 corvette TPI 5.7 ltr orrrrr,
a 1992-3 nissan 300zx twin turbo 2 seater
they can be in any colour...as long as its black (lol....henry ford!)
the porsche(around 300bhp)
the 'vette (around 245bhp)
the turboed z (around 300bhp)

which would you choose and why?

well id go for the porsche..but maintance would be a ИИИИИИ I presume. I love porches, and would kill for any type of 911.

have you thought about a 944 turbo? im sure they are not 20k, so it leaves room for more mods.

vettes are nice, and the only GM I would buy. But I have never been a fan of the 300ZX, its to fat looking, and not in a cool way.

id go jessica aswell btw...but catherine zeta jones also gets my vote..lol

polyal..I agree with u on the 944 but they just aint "fat" lookin enough for me.
The porsche it seems is out since I learned much of the costs of maintenance....the 300zx tt not being THAT far behind it either!
I like the "fat" look of the zx always have...when they came out in 89/90 I was blown away by them!(they reminded me alot of the 928.
Vettes are way cool but a wee bit on the "slim looking" side.
However, having driven (unfortunately) a lhd model they have a cool v8 sound and plenty of poke(0-100 in around 6 seconds ,auto)
Was kinda leaning towards the twin turbo in the end..MAYYYBE...due to the fact for around 4 grand of mods i could make her into a 10 second 450hp beast.
Its a few mnths down the track though so i have plenty of time to look..oh and Ill be keeping an e-series as a cruiser!(not the ed)

could you get into a stang for 20?....not sure

Or what about the last model supra?..or an R32.

I guess it depends, do you want Jap, US, Euro or Oz?

Yeah..no cant get into the stang I want for that kinda cash!
The supra is even more of a porker than the zx but done right(and withought that rear wing)that car could be the fattest of them all(and you have to love the tail lights worthy of a semi trailer!)
Polyal! I think...you may have just done It for me you know?now THAT Is ONE FAT CAR!
Just loved the way the zx turbos worked in sequence rather to the supras laggy turbos......but the supras look wayyyy fat!
Yeah...maybe a TT supra (black) no bodykit or rear wing either.....set of 19x11's on the rear with 285's sitting on real low springs.
Just gonna check out the prices now.cheers!
who knows what ill buy when it comes the time....my mind is easily altered lol(which is why i sell so many damned cars...AND lose out in the end ,lol!)

How about something really obscure, like-

http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2792103&cur rent_rec=12&used_rec=8&total_rec=12&sort_type=&tot al_rec=12&sort_type=&make_id=42&state_id=-1&search_distance=25

Put a bigger Turbo/Intercooler on it, most people wouldn't even know what they are looking at...

- John

P.S. Jessica Alba

a porsche 928S? they look horrible!
the vette would be nice for a restore job but not an everyday driver.

i'd go with the 300zx tt. them things are nuts. if i wanted to burn rice thats what id do it in!

I would go the 928...you can drop a 350 chev in them really easy then parts for it won't break the bank..they are so easy to get hp out of as well

I'd take the 928, but then again i'd rather an early 911.

And...Pink, just to be different cause i'm awesome.

I would have said 300ZX, but every man and his dog has one these days, so they're lost all thier wow factor.

The porsche and the Vette i'd personally cross off because of age and maintanace costs. Im not too sure about Vette's but i'd assume their parts in Australia would be almost expensive as the porsches?

The TT 300zx is a nice car but they are renowned for being ИИИИИes to work on. The engines bays are packed to the max and hence trying to fix a small problem could cost you either a lot of your time and patience or big $$ for labour removing all the bits and peices so you can access your problem parts. A lot of components in the engine bay also suffer from heat soak e.g hoses and electrical connectors going brittle and carking it.

Also they are quite heavy compared to other cars in the same segment and are more of a cruiser than a 'supercar'.

I cant beleive no one has said an R32 GTR yet, they are about as close to a reliable supercar you can get on your budget. They look fat as with their standard bodykit and pumped out guards so you definantly know its a GTR. They also have one of the sweetest engines ever made, as well as virtually unlimited go-fast parts for whatever your needs not forgetting their altessa 4WD which can easily have a switch installed to make it 2WD at a flick of a button.

I know what i'll be choosing once im off p-plates :eclipsee_

Grab the Porsche for sure. Why? It's a distictive model, V8 grunt, nice a.rse on it, hold's value. That and the 959 are my favourite model's for sure.

And Jollie for sure.. something about those boobs, LIPS, and she seems to have a brain too.

Yeah...Its a ИИИИИ to choose.i wouldnt get an xr6 and blow 20 grand on it 'cos i already done up an ed v8 to the hilt with goodies and im looking for a two door(will be keeping a slightly modded e-series though)
The skylines are great cars obviously and have great heritage (sorta) but to me they look like bricks on wheels(same as a gtho)
Im gonna take a few mnths to think about it...and eva longoria???forgot about her!
