Had one two weeks and fuel pump failed on Saturday ..
All fixed this arvo... Being direct injection ..
The pump works full time ..
Funny thing is the starter motor kept going even after releasing key...
I guess that's the self start mechanism kicking in...
Had to turn key off to stop starter motor..
Another part the ECU controls ..,

I'm new here but I bought a red one about a month ago now.
Ex demo with 1300km now has 3000km on It
Purchased it for 16,000 grand.
No issues yet.
They do get going, took it for a little cruise through the national park and had a heap of Fun.
It's in manual only wish would of been a 6 speed with as it does step down a bit on second depending how you drive it.
Windows clatter a little when they're say half way down. And minor dash squeak but it's expected.
Love the tune of the motor.
Keep in mind I came from a mk6 golf TDI

About 7.4, my understanding is that once the engine is more worn in the efficiency gets a bit better..
From a full tank i get about 500ish km

Seems pretty crap on fuel given my WS does 6.3L/100km with the 1.6L 4 cyl.

But I guess you do inner suburban type traffic with those figures?

Be interesting to see what it does on the highway.

Yeah I mostly drive in traffic but I have taken it on the highway m5 and m4 does about 3.6 per 100 that's in 5th doing 100 with cruise control.
It depends largely how you drive it and where you drive it

I bought mine new in March & have put 13,500k's on it mostly highway use going from Forster to Sydney and back.
The economy is outstanding as it uses half a tank each way which is roughly 350klm.
I reckon it would average between 4.5 to 5.0L/100klm

The only issue I have is there is something loose in the dash & when you corner you can hear something rolling from one side of the dash to the other but other than that its all good.
Has anyone done any mods to there's in regards to exhaust or know of anyone who has?

I have the same thing in the dash something roles or knocks when turning... I had an issue with my exhaust something was wrong with it. Ford replaced the exhaust under warranty no worries. It was making a loud sawing rattling sound when the revs would come down. Car has 12,000k on it.
