So someone has had a Phase 3 stolen sometime over the last 6 months. How do you not know it's gone in that time?
http://mypolice.qld.gov.au/blog/2015...cloyna-murgon/ Might pay to look at spares or anything unusual in the marketplace...

You know that the righteous ones don't approve when people share their thoughts on here about stolen cars.....

Saw that a car had been stolen from Cloyna on a local F'book page. Didn't actually say what it was but did ask if anyone had seen it!

You would also have to think that people knew it was there - It's not a big town by any stretch of the imagination?

Some of my cars are stored at my parent’s old place back in the bush.
My parents have been dead for years and no one lives there, I see those cars about once a year when I go back to visit family. I also go overseas for extended periods and the keys to all my cars stored at my home are given to someone else to look after and the neighbours keep an eye on things but if something was taken from the garage on a working day and the door was put back down they'd never know anything was missing. . I live around the area and had heard about that car. The problem in a smaller country area is everybody knows were all the nice cars are. I do alot of work around and am always amazed at the cars people have hidden around here, and are willing to show you. And I tell them mate I wouldn't be telling many people about that car. Unfortunately alot of the guys who own these cars are of the older generation and are to trusting.

One is to hide the cars away forever and get no enjoyment from owning them. Two is to drive them and know there are some scumbags around and to be cautious. In the small town near where some of my cars are garaged most people would know of them and those people are the least of my worries. I used to be more frightened when driving cars around Sydney as twice I was followed and the cars were taken from my garage. I now live mainly on the Central Coast and everyone in my street and the surrounds knows of my cars, it’s impossible not to notice them when I take them out. One of the members of this Forum recently messaged me and asked if it was my car that had a photo posted on a Facebook page driving in the local area and it was. I’m of the older generation and I’m not trusting when it comes to my cars, just realistic. I want to own and enjoy them when possible otherwise I may as well sell them. |

And look, my 'faker' comment was only meant to get a bit of dialogue happening to see if anyone knew whether it was the real deal or not. Odds are it's not a genuine Phase 3 but I guess it's a possibility. I've often wondered how many Phase 3's would be still around out of the original 300 odd that were built? I know we joke and say about a thousand but I wonder if there's an accurate register of the survivors? Russ. |

Not stolen. Current 'owner' talking to Murgon police.
Also - Not a H.O. but it is a GT. Not maroon but vermillion fire. No stripes down the side. |

Sounds like the same terminology the cops use when they say "assisting with their enquiries" when they've collared someone...

Long story - but definitely not stolen. Lets just say that 'family matters' are involved.
