G'day everyone. I'm looking for some advice and opinions on my front brakes.
I have an 09 F6 with the 4 pot brembos on the front. Firstly, When it comes time to do the pads and rotors i was thinking of doing DBA T3 4000, Or DBA HD 4000 X-Drilled. And for the pads i was thinking a QFM pad, Not sure which ones but apparently the QFM pads are good pads? Peoples opinion on this setup? The second thing, I'm not sure if its an issue or not, But i have no confidence in the brakes. Before the F6 i had a BF XR6, and it had DBA T2 slotted rotors and QFM HPX performance pads in the front and nothing special in the back(Never needed to do rear brakes but were only standard rotors and cheap pads- was ex council car) It also had cheap tyres, But the car had really good pedal feel, and pulled up really well. I felt alot more confident using the XR brakes then i do using the brakes in the f6. The front brakes where done by dealership when i baught the F6 and used bendix heavy duty pads, but not sure on rotor (I know they where changed as time of pads but not sure what was used, Havn't had them off but i think there RDA but could be completely wrong, There only drilled not slotted. When braking really hard, i feel a pulsating through the pedal like its the ABS, But it doesn't pull up as well as the XR did, And i never got the pulsating in the xr pedal like the F6 does. I would think that the F6 having the big 355 rotors and 4 pot brembos on the front it would pull up heaps better then the XR. I just feel as if there may be something wrong? Also not sure if makes a difference, But F6 has 82,000kms, BF has 260,000kms. Brake fluid was flushed when pads where done in F6 also Any advice or help would be much appreciated, Thanks

If you have a FG with Brembo's and the rotors are xdrilled only and no slots they will be aftermarket as the factory xdrilled and DBA xdrilled do have slots in them. Throw the rotors and pads away and that will fix your brake problems. That rotor and Bendix combo may be why you have no confidence in the brakes i would fit DBA T3 slotted or genuine xdrilled rotors we have them for $575 a pair at the moment.
Try running a Winmax W3 brake pad at $266 or genuine pads at $400 a pop. There are low dust pads available for around $220 upwards if that is what you want but they have lower initial bite.
