just a passing thought, if the original torana was based on the vauxhall viva, does that make the new holden viva the long awaited torana rebirth? look out GT boys, its got 22 storage spaces!!
any gifted photo choppers could do some great viva/xu1 stuff here |

I really hope not. I think if they make a new torana, it will be a sports car and it will be Holden made.
BTW it's a Daewoo, not a Vauxhall. |

It just needs a warmed up 6 in it, then while it's trying to put it's power down through the front wheels coming out of corners, the RWD V8's will be gone

According to Wheels magazine the Holden Viva is a rebadged Daewoo Lacetta.
Just as the 2006 Barina and Suziki Swift is now a rebadged Daewoo Kalos

It was shared back than as Vauxhall/Opel/Holden was all under the GM umbrella corporation ... and now Daewoo is part of it as well.
The first Daewoo 1.5i's brought to Australia ... these were initially brough out in Europe as the Opel Kaddett/Vauxhall Astra ... then 4-5 years later they surface here in Australia under the Daewoo badge. Like it all started way back what with the Viva and Torana.

Yeah all those new small cars holden has are Daewoo's, built in Korea i think.
I am almost certain the Torana is a all new model, looks very similar to the VE pics that are surfacing |

From the Torana pic's that are out so far it just looks like a smaller VE Commodore with SLIGHTLY diffrent shape.
