Hi all,
Just wondering why my AU wouldn't start over, until I moved it out of park (P) , down to Neutral (N) on the transmission, then it started, I turned the key over about 5 times, all lights on dash showed, with one warning light (l) and nothing happened until I changed out of park. After half an hour I parked in a side street, turned everything off, left it in P , and the car started normally, so it seems like a one off, or intermittent, what happened? does something need to be changed? Regards. Last edited by Night_EF; 04-02-2016 at 02:34 AM. Reason: additional information |

thanks guys, I called my mechanic and he said the same thing about the inhibitor switch. Since it only happened once, I'll make sure the selector is actually where it needs to be, if it get's worse I'll find a switch somewhere or on ebay and get it changed.
Edit : Found some on ebay, used for $25, and a new one for $50, I just bought the new one, peace of mind. Last edited by Night_EF; 04-02-2016 at 12:29 PM. |

might be a silly question, does the colour matter? , I asked the seller if it's compatible with my AU series 1, and he said " yes, look at your sensor if its black " , any differences between the black and white one? shouldn't matter I assume
