Yes, you read that right.
Never seen such a mad scramble for a purchase. And by the way it SOLD in about 30sec. $11,500 XW GS FALCON. 1970. First time advertised for sale since being sold brand new. Genuine car. Comes with usual GS features as per photos. Genuine 6cyl (3.6ltr) with 4 speed toploader. This car drove really nicely. Original GS hubcaps boxed and put away (these are mint originals). Tyres are like new. Currently has no brakes (they were all pretty much stuffed) or battery. Comes with new front and rear drum brake pads, wheel cylinders, spring kits and hoses. Also has new rear lenses fitted and (in the boot) some new door seals and boot seal amongst other bits and pieces. This car has not been on the road for about 8+ years. Body has dents and scratches here and there (see pics) but has very minimal rust, especially in most of the usual places including the floor. Great basis for restoration or 'mock up'. http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/a...pskkenaf1b.jpg http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/a...psf0ql7tix.jpg http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/a...psqkmdwxg1.jpg http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/a...psj2wsqtme.jpg http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/a...pscqpwtowg.jpg Last edited by elgt146; 11-02-2016 at 10:55 PM. |

Nice.
I hope they restore it and don't make it into a GT clone. |

Probably could have asked for much more, especially given the interest it had at the asking price.
Hope whoever picks it up keeps it as a GS. Nothin' wrong with that! |

Awewome. Its nice to see things like this still exist. Hopefully its left as is.
I think I spotto the old 5c piece in the lower steering wheel hole. My uncle for some reason did the same many years ago to his GS wheel |

a GS is probably a rarer car than a GT these days, love the white and gold stripes
