Default Au i6 torque convertors all the same?

Hi guys, just wondering if the torque convertor in my VCT XR is the same as other stock AU i6 torque convertors? Mine is on the way out & needs replacing pretty soon. Any help would be appreciated!

They're the same according to ebay lol. I only asked because apparently the manual VCT's 1st gear ratio is slightly different (don't quote me I'm not sure) compared to a standard AU 5 speed manual 1st gear ratio.

Going by that logic, I thought there was a chance my VCT's torque convertor was different compared to a non Tickford Au i6 torque convertor. Na, I think they are the same.

Maka, a torque converter on a manual box?

My guess is they are the same, (for the auto) All being 1600rpm

Hi mate, thanks for your reply! Na, I think you misunderstood what I was trying to get across lol.

To cut a long story short, I thought the tc in my xr is different to a non tickford one. The manual angle was how vct manuals have a different first gear ratio compared to a non tickford manuals, so going by that logic I thought there's a chance tickford tc's are somehow different non tickford tc's.

Mine has gotten noisy (tc clutch springs rattling & clicking) so it needs replacing pretty soon.

You missed the word "angle" so when I read it it came across as "5 speed manual box"

But fairly sure they are the same. Either that or the Haynes manual i have isn't for vct motors
