As it's ANZAC day gotta say the first twenty minutes of Saving Private Ryan were a bit of an emotional rollercoaster

With young kids, some of those Pixar movies can be heart breakers. The opening scene in Pixar's UP got the lump in the throat going.

ET is still my weakness!

Apollo 13 gets me bad when mission control erupts in cheering and we see Gene Kranz fighting back a tear. But especially when the LEM is floating away and Fred Haise says 'she sure was a good ship.' I don't know why that gets me but it does.

1) When Han Solo and Chewie are re-united with the Falcon...'Chewie we're home'

2) Han Solo getting bumped off in same movie

3) Gorilla's in the Mist.....when she discovers the Silverback she'd been studying with his head and hands removed by poachers.

Agree. Worked for NASA '76 to '80 and it brought back memories.

Just got back from Omaha and Utah - something like 95% casualties in the first hour. Some of the defenses are still there

Gotta plug "August Rush" again. If you haven't seen it yet do yourself a favour. I have watched it about 6 times now.
