Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week  This LH brought us right back to the 70’s with its bright orange and blue paintjob. Managing a best run of 11.36 @ 122.13 MPH, it was certainly a beast! Top Japanese of the Week  This Gen 4 Subaru Liberty improved its times all night, starting in the 16 second bracket and managing a best of 14.96 @ 95.03 MPH by its final run. These Liberties really are wolves in sheep’s clothing! Top Rotary of the Week  This clean white FD RX-7 was subtle in appearance, boasting nothing more than some simple aero and a nice set of rims. It did however, pack the kind of that we’ve come to expect from a rotary here at Sydney Dragway, jetting down the strip to a best run of 11.280 @ 131.61 MPH. Top European of the Week  Volkswagen’s AWD turbocharged beast, the Golf R, packs all the potential to tear up the quarter mile and this white example proved just that, running a best time of 12.72 @ 107.88 MPH. Top Ford of the Week  The AU Falcon is one of the more overlooked Falcons going around, but this particular XR8 example showed that the AU is nothing to be ignored, managing a best run of 13.47 @ 106.96 MPH. Commentator’s Pick of the Week  Running a blisteringly fast best time of 10.80 @ 124.32 MPH, this classic Ford Mustang looked absolutely magnificent and packed the outright grunt to match. Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM.
