Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week  HSV’s are somewhat of a staple here at Sydney Dragway and its quite easy to see why with this VE Clubsport pulling off an impressive best run of 12.38 @ 117.56 MPH. Top Japanese of the Week  The Datsun 180B is a definite classic, but with this particular example managing a best run of 12.45 @ 117.58 MPH, it is most certainly packing something angry underneath that bonnet. Top Rotary of the Week  Running a best time of 12.16 @ 115.84 MPH and looking absolutely menacing with a murdered-out stock look, this FD RX7 possessed a serious level of rotary performance. Top European of the Week  Standing out with its crazy livery, this Volkswagen Golf R showed off the amazing amount of tuning potential that these cars have, running a blistering best time of 11.84 @ 117.65 MPH. Top Ford of the Week  Instantly noticeable with its classic 60’s styling, this XP Ford Falcon wagon was quite clearly built with eating drag strips in mind, running an insane best time of 11.58 @ 117.10 MPH. With that wagon body style, it’s fun for the whole family! Commentator’s Pick of the Week  Rarely seen here at Sydney Dragway, the JDM-exclusive Toyota Caldina GT-Four is the definition of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Despite looking fairly sedate, the Caldina GT-Four packs the legendary turbocharged 3S-GTE powerplant, enough to propel it down the quarter mile to best time of 15.48 @ 91.86 MPH in stock form! Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM.
