Hi everyone.
recently bought a 1993 ford WA festiva. the gear stick is really sloppy to the point you need to triple check its in neutral when starting. done some searching online and it looks to be the plastic linkage bushes are gone. Went to Ford today and they don't sell them anymore. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows where I could get aftermarket bushes from. |

The bushes you refer to have part number KKY01 46062. Did the parts people you went to look at dealer stock around the country? I can check to see if there are any NOS around (get back to you soon). But failing that the WA Festiva is based on a KIA so the part number maybe available from a KIA dealer? (sorry no access to KIA parts). They do come up on Ebay but are all from the US.
Will get back to you... |

I checked and there are still plenty of dealers with stock of this part. There is even one dealer in QLD showing 545 units in stock. Plenty around the traps. if you tell me what town or state your in I can let you know the closest dealer with NOS. I would go back to the dealer you went to and stick it up him. He could have gone one extra step and advised you what I am telling you. I guess this dealer just does not want to sell parts as he most probably could have got them in for you.
Let me know and I will advise accordingly. Note some states do not have any and you may have to get from interstate, but the shipping on these would only be a few dollars. We'll sort it out!! |
