Hi everybody here. I Just bought a 2014 Focus Trend 2.0L Hatchback. The original antenna is too long so it's a pain to enter or leave my garage. I want to know if you have any short antenna for my car? Any bee-sting type or shark fin type with good radio function would do.
This is my first post. Please forgive me if I posted in a wrong sub-forum. Thanks. Acon |

Ford hopeless, they must be one of the few car company that puts huge antennas on new cars.
If you think it's bad on a Focus you should try it on a Ranger. That reminds me, I have to go an measure my new garage now to see if mine will actually fit in with the standard antenna. |

My garage is low enough to hit my antenna so I have to ask my wife to bend it to avoid it every time I drive back. In other word I can't get into the garage by myself.
Wondering if this works for my 2014 Focus Trend. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...860_em_1p_0_ti |

Gee, but that has to be a very very low garage! Are you sure it's just not the garage door that is hitting the antenna? Anyway, those 'stubby' antennae may help your case, but be aware - AM reception can be affected using a shorter antenna.

But a short antenna would solve this anyway. About the AM, what if I get a "not so short" antenna (10cm for example. There are some shorter ones out there)? Would that be better? |

I got a 4.7 inch stubby antenna for my 2013 Focus ST off eBay for about $6. It came with several adapters, so it fits perfectly. Radio reception (FM) is really good, I have not tried AM.

Just got this little guy:
http://www.originalpartsgroup.com.au...CK-CARBON.html There are some different sizes of screws included to fit different car models. One of them fit my Focus Trend 2.0, but the assembly quality seems to be bad because the plastic base part get separated from the antenna part when I tried to tighten the screw in so I have to use super glue to fix it. Installation on my car is easy but the screw is about 1mm too long so there's a round gap between this product and the antenna base on the car. I have to seal that gap with water proof tape. But everything is fine now and the reception seems to be ok. |
