Default Damaged low km Rebel going through Pickles SA

I just thought I'd give any SA members the heads up about a very clean looking damaged XR8 Rebel going through Pickles Auctions next Thursday. It's a shame it can't be re-registered but is a great parts car.

It doesn't look like a Rebel, just a Series 2 XR8.

Just a series 2 with a 220, series 3 (or rebel bodykit), leather seats, momo, Rebel (TS50) wheels and rebel decals on the rear doors?
I'll take a punt and say its a rebel.

You could be right, just had another look at the pics, a bit hard to tell if it says "Rebel" on the doors but the rear bar is the rebel kit but the side kit looks like a series 2. It's the 220 as the throttle body has the Tickford wings.

Rebels were released on the Series 2 and yes it does have the series 3 or rebel side skirt on it, you can see the in the photo on the passenger side where the skirt rises up the dogleg. Series 2 skirts don't come up the rear doglegs. You can just make out the silver rebel logos on each back door.

I think that might be a forum members car, or was their car.

Are stat write off laws in SA different to NSW?
Can't re-register one here.

well bugger me, didnt look at details, just photos and auction time, i assumed being little damage would be repairable.
Thing will go for bugger all, id say around 1500 if thats the case.

Not sure about SA but if this was in VIC and is a stat writeoff it would still go for more than $4k because of the parts. Auctions have been going nuts on AUs XR8s lately.
