Default Weekly Race 4 Real Report: August 17, 2016

Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!

Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway.

Top Holden of the Week

This mustard yellow HQ Holden Ute was definitely a surprising performer, running into the low 12’s with a best time of 12.06 @ 115.87 MPH.

Top Ford of the Week

With a best run of 13.03 @ 118.57 MPH, this FG Falcon Ute packed an impressive level of performance. With that bright green paintjob, it was eye-catching all the way down the quarter mile.

Top Japanese of the Week

One of the best things about Race 4 Real is the wide variety of vehicles we get coming down to challenge the quarter mile. As much as we love seeing performance cars tearing up the strip, it’s always great to have people bringing along their run-of-the-mill daily drivers to see what they can do. Take this bog stock CJ Mitsubishi Lancer for example, which managed a respectable best run of 16.13 @ 88.93 MPH.

Commentator’s Pick of the Week

Looking as clean and original as can be, this HT Holden Monaro GTS had eyes all over it. However, whatever was lurking under that bonnet was anything but original with this piece of Aussie muscle history cracking into the 11’s with a best run of 11.76 @ 114.48 MPH.

Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM. Check our website for T&C’s and entry information.

Next Race 4 Real is this Wednesday August 31, 2016. See you there!
