Last car I heard that sounded like that was a Mazda 1300 wagon that a mate bought for $800 that had a snapped gudgeon pin

At least it sounds more top end than bottom end. I'm thinking valvetrain.
You'll have to give us more details. When was it serviced last? What oil did you use? Is it burning or loosing oil? Did anything happen to the car 2-3 weeks ago prior to the noise starting? |
