MB TDCi
Car was in for it's 120k service and got the usual replies back that they recommend doing XYZ. I know that the inlet manifolds do get a bit black and goey inside and I've been meaning to do it for a while, so today I did it. Got a little bit hairy when I released that the Inlet manifold was a bit bigger and involved a bit more work. Also got a bit of a shock when I had it removed and there was the top end laid bare!!! The inlet manifold was dirty but no where near as bad as what I thought it would have been. Took a long time to get it cleaned as best I could. The throttle valve was a bit easier. Got it all back together and I'll go a for run tomorrow, not that I expecting any big change.
