Hi All,
Just sold my 65 Morris mini project after I completed it and bought (saved) a mk1 1972 1100 escort coupe from a farm. It's all there but had a slight drivers front Cnr nudge and the front panel and both quarters need replacing. Engine and body numbers match and engine should still run so I'm just going to rebuild it to stock as possible. Just after the best place to source the panels I need. TBH I'm not 'really into' escorts but I love all classics so just wanted it to get out of the paddock and at least have a chance of being back on the road, will sell it on for to the right person, tho I don't want to see it just parted out or 'a forever project' sitting to rust again. Can't upload pics on here atm but send me details and I'll get them ASAP to you if your interested. It would need at least front guards, front clip, LH boot base and then some other bits and pieces of rust repair. I'm reasonable on offers, but I didn't get the car for free so don't expect any miracles. Cheers Last edited by Tbisle45; 13-11-2016 at 01:09 PM. |

Good second hand ones are getting hard to come by, how bad is yours? can it be repaired? Remember they're welded on so it's a bit harder to just swap them over, you may need to replace the top mounting rail aswell, they're normally rusty or unusable after unpicking the spot welds. For new ones try smacka in Aus or head to the UK sites, plenty over there you can just about build a new shell with all the parts available nowadays...

Thanks, found some, not originals but they'll do nicely.
