Cool HSV Maloo with 485kW LS9 expected next year

Looks like there will be a ute version of the GTS-R and W1. So the GTS Maloo won't go down in history as the fastest production ute in Australia. Whaddaya reckon?

Badge 485kw ... actual rwkw ~350 ... probably nothing that special really. The norm when it comes to these guys.

Soon after Maloo will be extinct as well. So there's no difference there.

An Aussie built 11 second factory sedan that handles not special enough? Tough crowd...

Proof or just a little bit of butt hurt? The engine will be essentially shipped from the US untouched and installed into the Commodore (Sedan/Ute). All the changes made will be to the car, not the engine.

Badge aside, isn't this car what people wanted? A stonking big and powerful V8? Weren't people upset Ford didn't offer the sprint, etc in a ute? Here you go...

At least Holden, HSV are sending the Commodore out in a fitting manner...Sprint was only a token appeasement .....

Pity you couldn't put an aluminium tray on them like the old VZ. Now that would be insane!

Pure madness....
Overpriced
Overhyped
Overpowered

Makes everything offered by Ford laughable in comparison.
I love it !

Price is a bit outrageous. I understand it is limited but wow. If I wanted a fast ute I'd be in an FG F6 with some dollars put into the motor and get more power anyway? Each to their own I suppose.

I think most of the utes have more weight over the rear axle these days than the sedan sibling, Falcon utes were like this I am pretty sure through BA-F series, not sure if it changed in FG, but most of the modern Falcon utes were heavier at rear than the sedan I thought due to strengthening for load carrying etc.

That's Rare Air.................The Fastest, Last Australian Built, 2 Door Supercar...........the high price of a ticket to ride might keep the entrepreneurial flippers greasy mitts off of them.
