Imo might be good for business but not for humanity, there has to be a balance or nearly all (excluding the 1%) of mankind could possibly become 2nd class citizens in their own world...Scaremongering much lol! Please comment here, not on Twitter Mr Trump, AFF members would be thrilled lol!!!

Does this mean if we are no good at fixing robots then we should become good at selling them? Hopefully my industry stays alive for the next 36 years so I can retire at 65.

Politicians...... Puppets/robots? One has a hand up it's butt, the other has some R&D....
Can't be any worse than all the self-serving elite. Every other industry in Australia has reduced their workforce numbers, but not politics - it's been a growth industry with more & more bureaucrat positions & "public servant" roles at the top end being opened up for "jobs for the boys." How many staff does each sitting member have now compared to 20 years ago, or 40? Massive increases - at the taxpayer's cost. About time Automation took over one of the most wasteful "industries" we have on the planet. |

AI in call centres wouldn't be bad, might have a hope of understanding them.
I don't see large-scale automation being a concern any time soon. Small business is the biggest employer, and the capex required would be out of reach for most of them. |

Mass adoption of AI is coming, not in our or our kids lifetime, but we are seeing the seeds being planted. A couple of countries are trialling universal income schemes, if there's no jobs for us you'd think that would have to become the norm.

I can't wait for the future. We will have computers doing all the work so we have heaps of spare time for our hobbies. Like sitting at home watching TV because we won't have any jobs to pay for our real hobbies or expensive autonomous cars.
Not everyone can be robot software writers or maintenance workers. |
