Should have turned around but at the time it seemed like a bad idea, it was on the road near a busy coffee shop, probably people were feeding them, at first they looked like grey pigeons, but when I got up close they were ducks, hit the anchors and beeped the horn, at the last minute, they just looked at the car and then went under it.
I think the one that went "thud" under the rear tanks is no longer around. I should have gone back, but didn't, and my girlfriend won't let me hear the end of it, after all she's the one that swerved for a bird and rolled her car. I feel for the ducks but at least I know my instant reaction isn't going to lock the brakes and cause an accident. |

damn that sucks...ive hit a duck before too but it hit the wind sheild and kept going..I think.
But hey thats life I guess, you win some you lose some. I guess you won.

I cleaned up a baby duck once as it was crossing the road. I looked away for a second and when I looked back up, mummy, daddy and about 6 ducklings were crossing the road on their way to the water. I never looked back. I did feel pretty bad.
When I came back through there a few hours later, there were no dead ducks. Maybe I missed him alltogether |

ducks are not an endanged species, if there were no duck crossing signs, then run em over, its your right, you did nothing wrong.

Wasn't intentional, coutry road, took corner tight. Doh! Felt terrible.

Don't worry mate, it's worse when ya coming down a mountain at 80km/h (the speed limit) and ya see one, slam on the anchors, take away alot of tyre and hit them with a mate in the car.
I got called Ducky for the next 2 months straight. I can still remember what exactly happened and it was over a year ago that i did it

I could have swerved when i hit my roo- Check the photo's in the gallery
Had i swerved, i would have written the car off, and possibly myself! So i lined him up, hit him centre, and that was that! Now i have a bullbar, i stop for no animal!
