Possibly real.A few years ago I had a customer bring me his 4WD Hilux ute in to get me to look at the brakes.Old fellow said they were a bit noisy for a while, now there is a fluid leak.When I took off the wheel to have a look the disc was about 3-4 mm thick,no pads and wearing into the caliper piston.I said that it would be noisy wouldn't it,ole bloke yeah,but I thought it was probably a stick caught up underneath somewhere.Must have taken weeks to wear that far.
