Or, just get a fork and stab yourself in the left testicle.
Less pain, and less cost.

Optus are beyond appalling.
We foolishly signed up for one of their last deals.
For starters they never applied the discounts offered.
One of our numbers, Optus was unable to port, so he stayed with the existing carrier. Didn't stop Optus from billing us every month for the service we never got.
They are so dreadful we actually had to complain to the ombudsman to get it fixed.

Sigh. I'm with Telstra and when I see what others pay for their plans I want to stab myself in the testicle.

Yeah, I'm with Telstra as well, not cheap, but at least there are genuinely few places that I can't get coverage.

Thanks man, really appreciate it

Paying $29.90 for 3gig 4G on Amaysim

With this, $30 for 8gig+2gig(10gig) extra per month buy online + 4G

At work on Amaysim, using Optus network I get the below speeds.
Pretty friken good so why not get 7gig extra data for 10cents more then what im currently paying

Much as I agree with regards to their pricing, as an individual consumer or small business, the only reason I have a Telstra SIM is because I have to. Telstra basically has a monopoly on all the private leases (ie mine sites.) If you have a decent sized business, they are a bit more competitive, but still trade on their reputation and coverage.
Plus their customer service is slightly less appalling than Optus.

Optus has to offer good deals, because its the only way they get customers.
Assuming they even give you the discount promised...

I get the AFL for free and data free, that's keeps me there. Plus they do have good coverage I guess. I just hate paying the bill every month haha.

Interesting. Work phone is telstra and personal phone is optus. Take a guess which network has been crashing regulary and causing disruptions to getting things done.

Have been with them since 2001 for movile and the longer with the internet (cable not adsl) and once has my network been down with the mobile. Had a drama with the router when i changed the unit when i moved into the current house years ago and that was upgraded and no issues. Guess im lucky.

Shopping round for a Galaxy S8+ pre-order, missus is with Virgin and I'm with Telstra. At home, she gets great coverage, I have to stand in the back corner of the back yard to be able to hold a conversation for more than a couple of minutes.

Just got Optus NBN in the missus shop a month ago - worked for an hour then didn't work for 2 weeks. We didn't have any documentation on the new phone number (which you need to log a fault apparently), an Optus shop wouldn't help since we didn't buy through an Optus shop and the online chat function is a timed popup that won't popup on my PC. Log into her account, even though it's new it wants to merge with some other account, fails and won't log you in.

Had to wait for the first bill to come in so we knew our phone number so we could log a fault!

Hi

Just wanna thank you again.

Didnt even have to call them, just used their online chat service and within 20mins all sorted as apparently porting from another Optus supplier(Amaysim) to Optus requires this.

Cheers
