Supercreeps have lost my business when I asked to pay upfront for a gasket they didn't have in stock. The final nail came when I went into my local store to buy a stereo, they never had the stock to sell and wouldn't have one shipped in. I was told to buy one on line, which wouldn't honour the sale price.

A while back I saw a percentage off sale advertised on the TV about 9 o'clock at night. Lobbed up the next morning and the guy at the counter sniggers and says it ended yesterday.
Also noticed the 'Great easter sale' ends on good friday... Misleading advertising on both counts. Trust counts for alot in my books, I'll pay a bit more and go somewhere honest. I'm not that hard up that a few dollars bothers me.

The problem is context. You walk into an SCA Store and things don't seem cheap, because that's all your seeing.

Walk into Repco, and you'll soon see why SCA is "Supercheap". Identical Brand/Type of oils & fluids, even with Repco's "25% off for RACQ members" weekends, said products are still around 5% dearer. I repeat. Identical product.

Autobarn I can't really speak for.

Bursons are FAR better with parts you need. Always have what I need when I need it on the shelf. Not the best selection of fluids.

There you go.

Must depend on the store, I bought some camping chairs a while ago, that were advertised at 50% off, I wanted four and they only had two, next closest store is 130km away.

So the manager said they will get them in, but I reminded him the special ended the next day and he said not a problem you will get them at the 50% off price when they come in, they came in a week later.

But seriously I would and do buy stuff like oil, but I would never buy tools from them.

You must have some crap quality lowered springs or may be they are cut springs, I have never seen a quality lowered spring almost fall out or even remotely be able to shift or fall out.

Only did the job yesterday and they were solid as a rock.

I bought a full set of dba rotors a while back, I went to repco first cos they had a 25% racv discount on but they didn't have the correct rotors in stock, was told they could order them in but as it'd take a week to get them, I'd have to pay full price, decided to go to SCA, ordered and in store within 2 days, , also $100 ( per front rotor ) cheaper than repco's full price and still cheaper than the 25% racv discount price, have not been back to repco since..
Unfortunately repco had the correct rears so I bought them before I went to SCA

You have to leave a 20% deposit, not pay the whole thing. Stops people ordering **** and never picking it up. As for the stereo, they could have easily done a stock request. UNLESS it was one of the old stock models going out at 50% off. Then it is store stock only as per little writing in catalogue.

I bought some tools and a few other items last Thursday as I was going away, received an email when I got back tonight and I have $69 credit as all the items I bought on Thursday were on sale Saturday and credited with the difference. knew this would be the case as it has happened previously and knew about the Saturday sale. I find them OK and only buy on specials, but you have to watch their specials as I saw in the Easter sale they had a creeper crawler on sale for $45, I bought the same one year last year on sale $29.99.
