Default MA Mondeo instrument compatibility

Hi All, I have tried searching but can't find this, is the instrument cluster out of an XR5 MA Mondeo compatible with a standard Zetec cluster, I have an opportunity to swap but Im not sure if it is plug and play.
any help would be appreciated

I don't believe it'll be plug and play without a few problems (some small some larger), the odometer will be different may require programming to correct. The RPM gauge has a higher redline limit being a petrol over the Zetec Diesel and I'm not sure if it will function as you'd expect. Lastly The GEM may through a fit and show an error on the dash, again may be able to program it out but that's not been the case on some other people that have swapped in the past. UK forums are handy for that.

Sorry I've got a Zectec TDCI, I was thinking you had the same, you've got a good chance it'll work then.
