No I think it was dangerous enough with a standard 250 hanging over the front end

Haha! I'll second that...
Don't think it was an option but I did see TD XLE with a 2V a while back

Yeah a mate of mine has one as well in a TD XLE.
Fitted the Head himself has a warm Cam, the manifold has been modified to suit a 4 barrel carby (you can buy the 4bbl manifolds now) with a 600 double pumper. Low profile air cleaner.
Had to modify the Brake booster bracket and shorten the actuating Rod as the booster fouled on the Inlet Manifold.
Extractors off a falcon with a few tweaks.
Top loader from a TC cortina... best ratios out!!
Goes like a rocket.

The only thing that makes them dangerous is the nut behind the wheel. Has to be treated with respect.

He is currently look at a cost effective brake upgrade.

The car is white with no vinyl roof but is currently getting a freshen up with a new black vinyl roof.

Not an option but Ford were toying with the idea of a 4 barrel 200hp 250 pre-cross in the cortina to go against the torrie's. The super car scare killed this also.
