Gday, i just became a member after reading this thread

I own a mk2 RS2000 escort (2 door, 4 speed, Red)

I am just about to get it repainted on insurance and about to modify the engine then wish to sell it as it has proven hard to be a daily driver

Reading these forums I have realised i could put another engine into my car either a zetec or duratec seem to be the way to go (I have read the article in performance ford with the guy from victoria installing a zetec into his RS)

I was just wondering what costs would I be looking at for the engine?

How easy is it to install? (obviously the engines are for front wheel drive cars both zetec and duratec)

And i was watching RPM on the weekend is showed the new front wheel drive rally car in the ARC, the engine sounded very similar to a BDA, would it be possible to get this sound with these engines (he said they get that BDA sound because there is no turbo its N/A)

Your stud pattern should be 4x114.3 ie same as most 4 stud nissans, pulsar wheels should fit, is you r mates car the same shape as yours? if so they should fit, if its the old, old shape they won't.
good luck
