I'm not wanting to start any debate about the value of these buttons, but the one fitted to my BF FPV-GT decided it was time to expire. The cir-clip that holds the spring loaded push button within the switch body broke off the plastic base of the button, sending the button rocketing into the back seat.
Although the switch is still operational using a "pop stick" from my favorite ice-cream, it is not really a cool look for such a classic car (not that cool is very important at my age). Any suggestions on procuring a replacement. I cant find any on ebay or gumtree. I am almost tempted to rewire back on to the key tumbler switch and leave the button a decoration. Comments (both positive and negative) are welcome. |

I had the same thing happen in one of my GT's but ended up replacing it with a Jaycar start button like this one. I think from memory it was a direct replacement-

Thanks for the rapid responses - I have been traveling for the last couple of days and have not had any web access.
My plan is to put in a Jaycar one temporarily and send the original one to "arronm" to have it repaired and then reinstall. Thanks also to bossego for the blue wire option. Which I may also follow up on. I'll let the forum know on how I go. Cheers |

All set up now for BA BF FPV starter button repair. PM me if you need one Red or blue colour. I can exchange (if you have scratched it to much removing it ) or repair yours.
I can even help with the procedure for removing it. The wires need to come out of the connector as the connector wont fit through the large nut.
