Just reading an article that motoring posted up and compared to the ST the RS has limited rear leg room. Is this true? For those who have one do you mind posting a pick so I can see how much leg room there is. The ST has plenty for the kids but if it is the same rear leg room as in the mustang may be a prob. If you have kids and own an RS pics of them in the back would be great.
Thanks

One more thing to ask it doesn't have a spare do they? Only run flats

There is more rear leg room than the ST as the shell seats are thinner.
No spare and they are standard tyres, not run flats. I'm 5'10" and sit in the back comfortably when I have to.

Thanks for the reply cheech. Good to see there is plenty of room in the back. Time to convince the wide to get an RS rather than the mustang.

We originally were going to get a Mustang GT, but with two kids it would have been a tight squeeze in the back if we took the stang out for the day. Kids are 13 & 8.

Saw one of these driving the other day for the first time. Nitro blue. My goodness even at 90kmh going in opposite directions the colour was fantastic. Hope everyone is enjoying theirs thoroughly!

And they're all gone...........2017 Focus RS sold out in ALL markets.
http://www.torquenews.com/106/2017-f...-still-buy-one Hopefully those that still want one and haven't ordered can snare a cancelled order at RRP.

Always worth throwing the hat in for the deals that fall thru....seem to be quite a few though is annoying how many end up in showrooms as markups.

That's a great price considering what some others are charging.

I'm 6'2 and 110kg and I fit easily in our RS. It's a little snug, and it is a little exhausting to drive all day long, but it is a very rewarding drive when you are active with it.

A trailer that probably weighs a couple hundred kg's is hardly towing, but I see your point.
It's a bit unusual that the highest performing model, the RS, can tow when the lesser performing model can't, the ST. Due to it's centre exit exhaust. |

Has anyone done any audio upgrades on their Focus RS yet?
Thinking about tackling it piecemeal, and starting of with some speakers as the factory units are pretty average, getting something with good sensitivity and power handling. Something like a Hertz HSK 165XL Component speaker set - but will probably be largely dictated by what will fit in the door cavity. Has anyone done a ST or RS with SYNC2 speaker upgrades and what have you used?

pops and burbles are my music.
Stereo doesn't get turned on when I'm driving the RS. There's a few write ups on focusrs.org on upgrading the stereo.

For those who have the RS what RPM does it sit on the freeway at 110kms in 6th?
I had the ST and it was just under 3000 rpm which was a bit high IMO |

I had a blue one coming towards me when I was going up Cambewarra Mt the other day, he backed of the gas as he came past (on purpose I'm guessing) and the crackling and popping was a lot louder than I had imagined - it really did have a WRC sound to it.
