I have a 99 ZX2. It's a peppy little car and 35 mpg.
I like it. |

Nice, but not for $65K thanks. and its far from original
what's an original mint RS2000 worth? I think you'd get an original MK1 Mexico for less.

I think it's value is that it is an engineered V8.
My understanding is it casnt be enginerered under today regs, so that makes enginered and legally registered V8 escorts, cortinas and capris worth good $$$. |

it doesn't give any power figures, but I recon a good turbo twin cam kit to the original 2L would make better power and overall a better car. Each to their own I guess, but I don't think its worth half of what he's asking.

There is a green one which is fully engineered in Adelaide.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uegZnsowts Edit: This green one was listed on here a few years ago with some more details in the advert. https://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?p=5123448 Last edited by Fairlane 500; 24-08-2017 at 06:12 PM. Reason: found & added advert with more details. |

The year, 1976, doesn't make sense, could be a typo. Aussie RS was 79-80. 76 were the 25 UK spec homologation cars but they had FORD in letters on the nosecone not the badge. They're worth that money and more in original state.
Agree with previous posts, any value would be in the engineering and driveline, theres a couple of V8 TC/D Cortinas on there too asking the same money, whereas my 30 000km barnfind TD would struggle to get 10k.
