Budget will determine what you can get I guess.
What's the driving style?

I've used and have been happy and pleased with
Michelin ps3's - very grippy, hardly any road noise, last ages with aggressive driving (as much as you Cann on the street, I never tracked them) Continental sport contact 2's - Again a very grippy tyre, no noise but wear seems to be more than the ps3's On the daily I have kuhmo ecsta 4's (Legnum VR4) these have the most grip out of any tyre I've driven on the road, still look brand new after 6/7000km of pretty hard driving on an awd. And mum has just put Bridgestone re003's on her xr8 which seem to be also a good tyre, have had little use though. Prices based on (235/45 17) the ecsta 4-s were $115 each, the. Ps3's were $160 each, and the re003s were $155 The continentals were $165ea in a 225/60 16. My vote so far is the kuhmo given their performance based on price, yet to see how the re003 goes.

Driving style - well the car hardly gets driven but when it does I go fairly hard. Price budget - $250-$300 a tyre?

Go for the KU39s - one of the few tyres I've had on the back of the GT that grip wet or dry, but they wore out in 14,000; that may have something to do with the power at the rears and the way I drive
