Hi all,
I thought this was a fairly important subject. I am quite concerned on the lack of interest in the rich history of the brand we passionately back. What has happened to all the archived documentation we once had in Melbourne? Does anyone know? Adrian Ryan sounded like an interesting guy! Which I is a shame, because I think Australia has produced some of the best Fords.

Still no application made to Department of Communications and the Arts so must still be in Australia.
Anyway, what's the biggy? Ford Dearborn has world-class archival facilities so even if they did leave these shores they will be cared for better than we could and still retrievable. |

I'm guessing it's not an overnight thing neither. It's take my company many month's to collate archives and we are tiny by comparison. |

At the start of the year I requested some older photos for a book and they said they would be happy to oblige but unfortunately all their stuff went to the US. They didn't even have digital copies to email.

Adrian Ryan was a really great guy. As well as is mentioned in the above clip, he was a fabulous race caller at Oran Park. I had drinks with him after the meetings on several occasions and he was a wonderful raconteur. |
