I booked a HERTZ Rental Car :eclipsee_ and the confirmation of the booking came from OKLAHOMA CITY :
Can't HERTZ Australia do bookings ???

A lot of the travel systems are US based, Galileo, which is one of the ticketing organisations is based in Colorado and when your travel agent prints a ticket or itinerary here the request is transmitted to Colorado where the print is generated and sent back to the agents computer which acts as a dumb terminal and prints the job. Same with Sabre but I'm not sure where they are based.

There people on the forum that used the word trunk instead of "boot" an example a can remember is in Themboys link is talking about a trunk organiser now thats fairly PRO USA to me.

half the world airline reservation systems are based in Texas. Execpt for airlines which have built their own res systems.

Well of all the "aussie" companies that have sold to overseas investers, 42% were sold to American companies haha. Only 6% of the former aussie companies were sold to Asian owners.....who would have thought? :

Oh and these well supported figures..............came from Today Tonight haha.
