Does anyone do injector matching? Not static flow tests, dynamic ones at various pulsewidths and duty cycles, like Injector Dynamics do for their new injectors. It's not technically demanding, just time consuming.
Not ordering ID because I don't need the extra flow, just the extra consistency

May not be what you want, but it wont hurt to ask them whats involved with their "Flow Rate Test * You receive a complete Test Report with both Pre and Post Cleaning results."
See efi hardware in Mitcham Victoria. INJECTOR CLEANING & TESTING You could probably ask them if they could do a dynamic test at different injector pulse widths, and they may do it for a fee? Good luck. |

No, the only way to do dynamic matching is to dynamically test perhaps 50-60 of the same injector, and you *might* get two sets. It's a time consuming process and any injector shop that does it will be shouting it from the rooftops.
I think I might have to build a testing rig and go down to the local ford wrecker and do a deal and pull *all* their barra injectors. Would anyone buy sets of stock but matched injectors?

Whats your budget to do these tests? Under $1000?

If I'm doing the tests myself, I would expect to be able to build makeshift tooling for a bit under that. After that it's just time and cleaning fluid, and I don't know how much of either I would need
Paying someone who already does it? No idea, again I don't know how much time it takes so I can't set a fair budget. But I would find it fair to pay around the brand new price ($3-400 apparently) for a set of 2ndhand but matched injectors

I remember going to a fuel information night held by KPM Motorsport and they do build injectors that are matched "As always KPM precisely test every injector to offer matched sets within +/- 1% of each other. We also generate the correct data for your tuning software so that takes any guess work out. "
For example KPM 1700cc Injectors But from their website they can sell a set of 6 for $649 for BA/BF n/a or turbo saying: " The injectors are a complete, machined, flow tested set. Along with the injectors we provide the scaling data used for precise tuning." You could contact them and they may offer a service to match a set of stock injectors and provide data you need. Good luck. |

As already mentioned, matching a set may require an initial 20 or 50 or more injectors to get a set of 6 perfectly matched injectors.
Most engines would have a bigger variance between cylinders than a set of stock injectors would be.

But not when I'm finished with my head and manifold... (I will be heavily modifying a stock bbm to remove the long runners for increased plenum volume, assuming that's actually possible)
In any case I should be able to (roughly) predict which cylinders will run differently and strategically position un-matched but tested injectors to suit

You could run individual wideband o2 sensors in each exhaust manifold runner to monitor each cylinder and locate injectors based on the data

Unfortunately that's somewhat out of my budget

Why not go to the US.
I've brought 3 sets of basic injectors from these guys and all were awesome. They do custom injectors which are specifically tested as per your request. https://www.fiveomotorsport.com/custom-fuel-injectors/ |
