At most places where you are providing documents for the 110 points, evidence of identity documents must be the originals.

The same applies to a Passport.
Your comment applies to honest people however the scammers have their contacts who will aid & abet them in Identity fraud.
I can see where BPXR6T is coming from so caution should always err on the safe side as identity theft is more rampant than what you think.
My late brother was victim to identity fraud and what a nightmare he had for 3 years to sort the crap out.

If I was to buy anything unseen interstate or overseas I would recommend a bona fide agent as the middle man for a safe sale transaction.

Smile Re: Could this possibly be a scam??

Im in Brisbane but back in June I was looking for a new midlife crisis car I found a Jag on gumtree the car was in Canberra so I asked all the questions about rego and VIN numbers and he sent me all of that and about 10 pics well i checked the VIN and it came back as all clear so I got his bank details and went to the bank and transferred $2000 to his account I then got Seva to bring it to Brisbane depot $670 and the car is in near perfect condition so my buying interstate experience went to plan with no worries
