Gloves for Driving? - Page 2

Where would you keep the gloves when you are not driving?

I reckon a good place would be in that compartment on the passenger side of the dash...name escapes me, something-box?

I do not think gloves and driving would suit me-interesting to hear aside from medical conditions with sun and racing requirements with flame retardant gloves the world with decent steering wheels has moved on from the need to have driving gloves.

Never heard of Riggers Gloves? They offer superior grip for EVERY labour purpose I have come across with out hindering performance. They are better than all these so called specialist gloves for $20 plus that last 5 minutes. Cant beat real hide for strength & protection.

Your right. Riggers gloves are superior to anything else I've ever used, use them every day for loading granite cutting and laying it.
They cost about $5 pair which I buy in bulk from truck parts suppliers.
Granite will just slice up those so called specialty gloves.
They are named because they were the favourite for high rise dogmen and scaffolders (riggers)

Don't know about driving a sports car in them though. !

How about wearing a racing helmet while driving , is that allowable? Would be the best defence against a who was driving vehicle x and y time and location should the constabulary fail to intercept

Unless something is hot I don't wear gloves at work. I do wear a glove for golf though. Reason being I have a nerve issue so I don't feel pain. So cuts through gloves I don't see till the end of the day. If I don't see it its not there. But for sweat absorbing and all the rest then go for it. Bmx gloves probably aren't approved for racing but they fit good.

About 15yrs ago I pulled up to an intersection in Narellan and there was a female in a Ford Laser beside me waiting to turn right and she was wearing a full face road bike helmet.
I can only assume she worked in OH&S.

I saw an elderly Indian man wearing an open faced helmet sitting in the passenger seat of a 4cyl Toyota. His daughter was in the drivers seat & judging by the 8 L plates, I assume he was instructing her. Considering how nervous the helmet wearing instructor would make her feel, she was an excellent driver.
