my old XR6 HP manual did 6.5s 0-100 with a full exhaust and a perfect lauch, but 7 would have been spot on for a stock car on a good day

i can't get consistant times with my BA GT 5sp, its got 4.1 diff and its too hard to get off the line, either smoke or more smoke, best was 4.5s but on average i can't get better than 6.0s, my adventra does 6.0 all day rain hail or shine

What is your source for these times?

What do you forum members think of the generally claimed 0-100 of the VE SS of 5.3s?

That should be for the non AFM 270kw models

The site is called (automobile catalog) Sorry I don't know how 2 post links. They have times for 0-100, 0-200, 0-300, 0-1/4 mile, and 0-1km times for every car ever made.
Site has changed a little, there is no easy search for just one car anymore.
They now have a subcategory to choose from. Makes it a little harder but still ok.

5 seconds for a miami.

Their battery was flat.

An easy 12 second qtr mile car doesnt do a 5.

5 flat would be realistic for the average example in most situations on the street, particularly if it's on 245s.

You do realise that they use simulation to derive their times, right? And they do not profess that these are accurate and contain lots of estimations and variables.

From the website:
Quote:
Please note, that the results of the simulation, although in most cases very accurate and close to the real behaviour of the vehicle, are only theoretical and may differ from the real road tests performance data.
For that reason I'll always prefer data from real world road tests of a stock unmodified car by respected motoring publications.
