Hi all
Last weekend my poor lil nephew was sick when he was staying over at my house for the weekend... I have tried many cleaners but the smell won't go... My question is what does everyone recommend? Was also considering buying a carpet shampooer from Godfreys or getting a contractor in. What would everyone do?

Google vomit & carpet and read away. I have always flushed the stain with water, pad it dry, flush again, pad it dry, over & over. Never scrub, never use hot water. Good luck

i think if its gone through to the underlay, you will probably never get rid of the stench.
a good steam clean may get it out, but may also just mask it till the top dries.

White vinegar and water in a spray bottle can do wonders to neutralise odor. When I bought my previous BA it smelled really bad inside but I got rid of all the bad smells within a few days with just this mixture. (50/50 water-to-vinegar mix)

I'd suggest hiring a carpet cleaner from the likes of Kennards or Woolies. Cost about $70- for a full day (probably closer to $100- by the time you buy shampoo etc) & you can do the whole house while you're at it. Very easy to use & give a good result.

There is a product that car detailing company Bowden's make called Pong go. I have used it on a spot that one of the dogs had pee'd on, applying after cleaning as described previously and have had good results with it. About $25 for a 750ml spray bottle from Repco & the like.

Use Nil Odour. You can buy it at Woollies or Coles. You will only need to use a couple of drops. As the Nil Odour has a strong smell.
