Default Broken pipe

I have broken a pipe while changing the alternator in my 2002 focus with a 2.0l zetec engine.
The pipe comes off what i think is the fuel pressure regulator and connects to a cream coloured fitting near
the intake manifold. any advice on what it is and how to fix would be greatly appreciated.
i have temporarily put some electrical tape to plug up one of the holes .
