Ok , here goes for a response

If it has the stock system on it, then in my view, that is the best ..

My former boss was a GT fanatic and modified his exhaust on both of his gt ‘s and for me the car was better before the mod

Also for me, when I often contemplate buying a gt I always skip past those that have been modified

I am certain many will disagree with my view and I understand there is a big thing for aftermarket, but for someone like me , a stock GT is worth more than a modified ....

It really depends on what you want. Radler makes an excellent point and many would agree. Then there is the other brigade (including myself) who understand that aftermarket headers, cats & well thought out exhaust systems can wake an engine up enormously and deliver that brillant sound only a V8 configuration can create. Mufflers are so good these days, you can have a fairly quiet sound for light driving but when you floor it, it really screams along with the noticeable torque/hp improvement. If you can get to a show or meet up with another owner with a exhaust, at least you can hear what they sound like. Ceramic coating adds $500 but lowers under bonnet temp substantially I have found. It is easy to spend over $3500 for a complete system fitted. Extractors will set you back around $700 and there is custom made systems or bolt on ready made like this. I don't recommend this myself, it is just an example of whats available ready made. Keep your old system if you do get a new one just in case.

Look at Rage systems from nz, believe they are available over there. Had one on my old 260 boss, well made and prob cheapish now.

Chop the mufflers out with a grinder and weld straight pipe in their place. It won't be droney or anything.

just an observation i have noticed headers take away the burble at idle but make it crack more on WOT
i don't have headers but my cats are empty as they fell out the exhaust and the exhaust is a high noise xforce with duel outlet
a mate has the same car but with headers and quad tips and his is much smoother and to my ear sounds worse
our cars are early BA GT's so not quite a 315kw

This will give you more attention than you have ever had and put a huge smile on your face every time you drive it. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pacemake...sid=m570.l1313
Whilst this will probably do what you have asked for and is a little cheaper.

Mitsubishi exhausts are wild, notwithstanding they were made in Tonsley

its like asking whats the best car , you need to find out what sound you like then try and replicate it on your GT ...and you should get close to what YOU like

Hello water snake,I see you are a fellow reptile, it should not matter, as you know we have no ears, but you may be a modified reptile with mini cochlear implants.
So whatever you do to your car you will not hear it, but you will feel the vibration, but good luck with it.

Cheers Slowsnake..( the land version )
