Hurry up Ford I'm getting excited. It's been 2 weeks since i ordered my tango orange Zetec. Just found this site today & I'm already planning some mods. I think 17" alloys in gun metal grey would look good. & a twin pipe exhaust too. Then all it needs is more power.
COME ON FORD!!! : |

Living in South Hobart now, 34, winemaker. My Peugeot 306 broke down for the last time, so impulse buy of something similar but new. 206 GTI 180 costs too much & the Polo GTI costs too much to insure.
Checked out the British Ford site, wish we could get the ST or even the Zetec S which has different bumpers & better looking trim. Do the stereos plkay mp3 cd's in the new ones? Or is it just an ipod jack. |

Dude - you could have gotten the 206 GTI (normal) for $26,990 in december! And the Pug206GTi180 is now $32,990. Or do what I was going to do - get a used RenaultSport Clio 172 for around $25,000. Anyway - good luck with the Fiesta! I'm starting the like the new look (from the side... i like the side moulding going from small to big!). You will have to show us pictures of when you get it! Good luck with it! I love the interior - good work there. And trust me when i say this - you WILL keep up to the GTi180 through the bend... just forget it when the bend begins to straighten out! Cheers, Steven

I test drove a Polo GTI & an LX Fiesta around the same back roads, & there wasn't much in for the extra 10g for the polo. Very nice trim & a it looks good, but didn't go or handle that much better. My old Peugeot handles the corners just as well but it was starting to get a bit tired. I wanted more mod cons anyway. The Clio was too cramped in the back for me to carry my bike & stuff.
I do like the look of the new lights better, but some trick lights on the back would look better. Are bits like that available here or do you have to import them? |

The Clio is WAYYYYYY smaller then the Fiesta - but I'm not complaining when I drive it But dude, there is nothing against the Fiesta apart from the engine... its sweet sounding and very revvy, but doesn't have the speed to match. Good luck with the Fiesta, I'm sure it will bring years of happy cornering.

I bought a new Ford Fiesta Zetec about 4 weeks ago. It has been sitting at my dealers for three weeks because something is wrong with it. Apparently parts are on the way from Germany but this is as much info as Ford will tell me or my dealer. So I am without car and without $18,000! Can anyone help? I think Ford forget sometimes that buying a car is a big deal for most people - they do it every day but I certainly dont.

From what we've heard there is a part in the rear suspension that Ford Australia wants to change. the suspension isnt faulty its just sometimes Ford Aust likes to change bits a peices to suit the aussie roads. All the zetecs that are currently on order or have been purchased by waiting customers have first priority for the part swap. shouldnt be to long now.
And trust me it will be worth the wait the Zetec is a banger of a little car |

Nappa you are spot on - do you run that factory in Germany?
Funnily enough I got the same response today from Ford in Melbourne finally!! So the parts are on the way to my dealers and I should have my little Tango Zetec soon. Thanks for your help! Kate |

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Interesting Nappa! I wonder if it had anything to do with the Sports Suspension.
I know Brad Garlick Ford has had a Black Zetec for 2 weeks now...

Oh argh - which model 306?! I was sooooooo close to purchasing one before the Fiesta. I was after a S16 or XSi... then moved to GTi6 and then decided for a new car - so I went to Ford
But I'm now back to French Cars

Only a 306 XR. Nothing special. Would have loved a GTI6 or S16, but you just can't get them down here. Still handles as good as anything.

I think the Corollas are built in South Africa, Thailand and Japan.
You can choose where yours comes from by the VIN and mine would have definitely been coming in from Japan. |

Good news Kate. Mine should be ready too. Unless they're on the slow boat to Tassie. About time too, the LX auto they lent me is just a tease,I want my Zetec.
