Has anyone fitted an aftermarket cruise contro unit to an EL. Do they work well? Where can you get them cheap? Thanks, Bob

is there a reason why you don't wanna fit a factory setup?

If your not wanting to go factory, You can get a AP COMMAND cruise setup. They are around the $200 mark and work quite well. But for the same price you could go Factory.

Just whatever you do, MAKE SURE ITS ALL IN GOOD NICK IF 2nd hand! You dont want it to stuff up on you and you cannot stop if the driver is unexperienced ;)

Wreckers would be the first place to try.
Does you car have ABS?

if the car has ABS, installing cruise is VERY easy.
if not, its a little more involved but still not bad.

if the car has ABS then you already have all the wiring required to install cruise control.

What you need:
cruise control module (situated under drivers side bonnet hinge.
Cruise Control buttons to fit to the steering wheel
maybe the brake pressure switch on the master cylinder, i can't remember if thats fitted.

thats all that i can think of.

EFFalcon,

Thanks very much. Is all the wiring in place or does this need to purchased aswell? Off the topic but is the wiring already in place for a roadtrip meter? Anyone have the spare bits lying around? Thanks for your time!

Cheers, Bob

if the car has ABS (which you said it has) it will have the cruise wiring in place already - it is the same loom...

you will just need to buy the parts EFFalcon and fit them.
