Imagine an all new Territory with lion 3.0L v6 diesel, Ford's new 10 speed auto and all the tech our Australian engineers now have access to as a result of all the programs they work on......wonder if any aussies did work on the new Explorer? I think I mentioned once I was lucky to be in the US after Christmas and saw a few Explorers, which in some of the darker colors looked fantastic and more Range Rover-ish then photo's show.

Also imagine a 3.3 V6 Hybrid, a 3.0 V6 Ecoboost and a 3.0 V6 Ecoboost PHEV...
Options that consider petrol buyers too...

Something not out in public yet,
The hybrid unit is built into the 10AT case so can be applied to more engines as required,

Id be happy with the 10 speed in my current Territory!! the SZII should have got the 8 speed at the same time Jeep did.
In fact putting a 10 speed behind most older Diesels would transform them dramatically

Sounds like an aftermarket opportunity 007.

Wonder how much energy is going into aftermarket controllers?

Also, wonder what is needed to make one stand up behind and 800 - 900hp street Windsor?

Just a matter of time before a controller for the 10R80 comes out. Tuning has already been unlocked on it via HP Tuners.

And I reckon it would handle 800-900 hp stock without issue. Already sitting behind 700hp+ production cars, and we all know the margin of error they have at stock power levels.
