I ended up moving on my fgx g6e turbo sedan about 2 months ago, today after about 12 months, I got my letter from ford CSC as below
From our records, we are able to advise you that this vehicle was built to the following specifications: Serial Prefix Serial Number SIDO Model Code Engine Code Transmission Code Paint Trim Options Tyres Date of Manufacture Retail Dealer JGXxxx 7xxxx 9xxxxx 18438 - Ford FG MkII G6E Falcon Sedan Y - 4.0 Litre A - 6 Speed Auto SM - Smoke C5 - Tan Leather None Listed 19 - 245/35R19 October 2014 3999 - Ford Motor Company, VIC Please find the following productions figures: Ford FG MkII G6E Falcon Sedan Description Total Total Build: 126 Engine: 43 Transmission: 43 Paint: 10 Trim: 3 Of interest is mine was a fgx, not fgII, so given the build date of October 2014, does this mean my shell was actually a fg II shell ?

Late FG2 Falcons had FG-X shells. These can be told apart by the antenna in the rear section of the roof that was absent in FG and Earlier FG2 Falcons.
