Sorry if i posted in the wrong section. Ive got a 2013 ranger going in for work under stat warranty in nsw. Would an after market stereo void my stat warranty thats engine related? Thanks

No way. Stat warranty is similar to new vehicle warranty. Read the fine print

Depends if the wiring of the stereo interferes with any wiring related to the engine. If the stereo has its own wiring circuit totally independent of the vehicle wiring, then no, but if say the power for the stereo was taken from the starter or ignition or any sort of engine power and is the root cause of your issue, then possibly yes. In saying that it would not void the warranty on any unrelated item on the vehicle like suspension or brakes to name a few.

Thanks guys. The ranger stereo upgrade was a plug and play unit with the original wiring. The engine has surging issues for who knows what reason and a hole in the muffler
