Default US Ranger 2.3 EB Livenois Tune +80 HP, +100 lb ft

Base tune at the rear wheels: 250 hp (186 Kw) and 280 lb ft (378 nm)

New Tune at the rear wheels: 330 hp (246 Kw) and 380 lb ft (513 nm)

Not bad for a drive in, drive out tune that's fully EPA compliant.

That tune at the rear wheels is what a 2.7 V6 EB puts out at the flywheel...

Some buyers here would kill to buy an Ecoboost Ranger and then fo off and get

The new 2019 Ford Ranger is hitting dealerships now, and demand for the truck is high. It's so high, in fact, that Ford is ordering overtime at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne to help meet that demand.

Speaking with reporters Wednesday, Kumar Galhorta, president of Ford North America said that starting in February the plant "will be going into massive overtime." This is based on strong initial demand and people who have expressed interest in purchasing one at a dealership.

USA Ranger sales for February was 2,899, early product mix is heavily skewed
to crewcab Lariat (Wildtrak) until they get up to speed, Ford always does that.

I take it the plant hasn't ramped up to full production yet?

How do those sales numbers compare to Colorado, Canyon and Tacoma?

During the complete 2018 calendar year, Chevrolet Colorado sales increased about 19 percent to 134,842 units. Or over 11000/month on average.

If I'm not mistaken, Tacoma sales were almost double that.

Colorado...........9,787

There's still not much inventory to speak of, I think buyers
are waiting for Ford to hit the go button with XLT and XL.

Off topic here,
I’m not in the market but I was curious as to the price of second hand EN mustangs. Earlier models many of which have really low KM’s can be bad for around $30k (possibly under). Throw in one of these tunes and you have a really nice daily driver. Good looks, handling, and economy for not much more than Corolla money.

Slim to zero chance we will see a Ranger with a decent engine.
They don't want high powered engines in Myanmar or Lesotho so that means we don't want it either.

2.3EB the next SR20

Interesting the 2.0EB is a closed deck block and the 2.3EB is open deck.

Has anyone found the limitations of either block?

Also has anyone worked out how to keep fuel up out of the high pressure fuel pump required for it's direct injection system yet?

With 2.0EB it seems the high pressure fuel pump starts running out of flow at circa 350hp/wheels and you need to use auxiliary port injection fuel systems to supply the extra fuel required at those power levels.

I had a mint Nissan S14 manual with SR20 years ago. Was a great fun rwd car. Awesome little engine.

Food for thought, there’s only about 200 lbs difference in weight between an EB Ranger crewcab and a super ab F150........
Maybe we need to start looking at what’s possible in that direction. Ram 1500 points the way, imagine if ford did a factory RHD 150.......

There are a suprising number of differences. With the yanks building it there they could change whatever they wanted to, within cost effectiveness.

Interesting , have you got the intel on this ? Only way I could stomach driving a ranger is the USDM drivetrain and upgrades

its got a unique frame for one, to meet the US crash requirements. Petrol engine doesn't transplant easily into the rest of world frame.
