Indeed.
My father (with his surveyor colleagues) was stalked in the grasslands of Zambia; it was far from uncommon. Most of the time when it happened, people realised there was something shadowing them but it was unable to be seen. Retreats were riven with anxiety; nobody carried a gun (they were simply civil works employees). He also had a mamba try to bite him on the face while driving; for reasons only known to G_d he hadn’t rolled the window down on that occasion. Apparently the venom could be seen running in trickles down the glass. |

I worry more about the camels we get in WA. When angered after a collision with a vehicle they will attack and can bite your head off.

I recall an enrgaed bull camel reportedly attacked and killed someone on the Nullarbor Plain in the early 70's or late 1960's after a car ran into a herd crossing the road. Too late to find on Trove and too early for Internet records but I recall the RAC warning me about it before I did the Perth Sydney and back trip in 1976. The message was if you hit a camel stay in your car or you will likely be attacked.

How dare that Tiger run onto the road.

Good point, in the original scenario there should have been yellow and black flashing lights, “Tiger Crossing” signs and a reduced speed limit zone complete with safety cameras.
